Situated in a quiet residential street in Garajau, this apartment is ideal to relax in with a nice garden and sea view. It is just about 10 minutes by car from Funchal centre and it is also conveniently located for visiting other parts of the Island. This apartment is located in Garajau, 10 minutes by car to city centre of Funchal and accommodates 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, one with 1 double bed and the other with 2 single beds. It has 1 bathroom and a garden with hammock chairs to relax in the sun. The apartment is big and fully equipped with all modcons - dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, TV plus free wireless internet and a free-parking space. THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Renting a car at the airport is probably the best option to enjoy the freedom of discovering the Island on our own and returning to a quiet apartment with a private garden at the end of day. Relaxing in Garajau wondering its residential streets, going to the beach or reading a book in your own private garden are also some of the privileges of staying in this area. Peaceful place. GETTING AROUND To get from/to airport, you can ask us to arrange a taxi transfer with our local and trustworthy partners. Cheaper that the airport taxis! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the property. GUEST INTERACTION We are always available for any concern you may have. Feel free to contact us through our local numbers or email. We will try our best to accommodate your needs! All informations on the info board at the entrance of the property. OTHER OBSERVATIONS - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. - All necessary linens and towels are provided. A cot, high chair and baby's tub can be arranged if necessary. We have a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and an anti-fire blanket on all properties. ATTENTION We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz. All guests staying in tourist developments and / or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged 2,00€ per person/night, up to a maximum 7 nigths stay/ 14€ per person. Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee. HOUSE RULES We love to make our guests feel at home! Please respect the neighbors. Smoking not allowed inside the properties.

Magnifique logement super bien situé avec un stationnement intérieur! Quoi demander de plus? L’appartement était plus grand que nous l’aurions cru! Et nous avions une cour juste pour nous! Wow! En plus, on nous donne un cadeau de bienvenue (sac réutilisable pour faire nos commissions: parfait!!!) Allez y sans hésiter!

Die Unterkunft an sich ist gemütlich, die Betten sind bequem, die Aussicht ist schön, in der Mitte unseres Aufenthaltes wurden die Betten neu bezogen und es gab neue Handtücher, die Wohnung benötigt aber ein paar Renovierungsarbeiten, man spürt die Feuchtigkeit im Gebäude. In der Küche fehlt es an ausreichend Besteck und Kochutensilien, es gibt z.b. nur einen Topf, was es schwierig macht zu kochen. Die Wände sind scheinbar sehr dünn so das man wirklich alle Geräusche und Gespräche de Nachbarn hören kann, diese sind leider auch in der Nacht und am frühen Morgen sehr laut, was einen erholsamen Schlaf stört aber dafür kann der Vermieter nichts. Was aber unerträglich war ist der Geruch im Hausflur, nach Schimmel und Chlor.

Die Wohnung selbst war sauber und die Küche in Ordnung ausgestattet. Allerdings ist die Unterkunft in Realität deutlich dunkler als auf den Bildern dargestellt. Problematisch war vor allem ein starkes Feuchtigkeits- und Schimmelproblem im Hausflur. Der intensive Geruch nach Schimmel und Chlorreiniger zog permanent in den Wohn- und Essbereich und machte den Aufenthalt für uns unzumutbar. Aus diesem Grund haben wir die Unterkunft vorzeitig gewechselt. Leider zeigte sich der Anbieter An Island Apart hierbei nicht hilfsbereit.

Positive: De locatie is prima. Rustig, maar toch centraal. Je zit zo bij de luchthaven of in Funchal. Negative: Het huis is best gehorig. Je hoort de buren goed. De bank en matrassen zijn echt wel aan vervanging toe. Inventaris van de keuken is niet compleet. Er staat veel, maar toch net niet genoeg.
